Literature Text

Rain pouring down
From the dark skies above

Doesn't matter
Not any more

Rain pouring down
From the gray clouds up high

Pattering on the roof
and the ground

Hurt buried inside
Where the rain doesn't touch

Cry with me world
Cry with me in the rain

The horizon's cloudy
But I must go on

Because somewhere in the storm
You're waiting

My silver lining
My rainbow

I can still hear your heart beat
Hear your smile and your laugh

Memories of you
Carry me through the wind and rain

Even as I weep
Missing you beside me

I'm tired
But I must go on

Because I know you're here
And I won't give up the fight

It might be
That this was never meant to be

That you'll be lost to me forever
And I've asked what the world can't give

But I won't give up
I'll never give up

I'm going to find you
And bring you home

No matter how hard the rain falls
Or how fast the wind blows

I'm going to find you
And bring you home
Written for someone who will never read it. I miss you so much...
